Type species: Cellaria dennanti MacGillivray, 1895
The type species, Paramawsonia dennanti, from the Tertiary of Australia, appears to be referable to the genus Cellaria. Antarctic species which were described as belonging to the genus Paramawsonia are now included in Swanomia
