Macropora cribrilifera is recorded from the Miocene of southeastern Australia.
The specimen illustrated above is from the Mitchell River, near Bairnsdale, Australia. The ovicell develops from a zooid which has an orifice distal to the brood chamber. This specimen is in the group defined as the subgenus Macroporella by Uttley (1949). | Avicularian zooids. |
