This genus includes the species:
Diagnosis: Colony erect, rigid, branched, arising from a uniserial chain of encrusting zooids, or a spreading kenozooidal base. Branches cylindrical. Zooid frontal shields imperforate with marginal areolae. Primary orifice sinuate. A simple frontal avicularium present, with a complete bar. orifice of maternal zooid slightly wider. Ovicell hyperstomial, with marginal areolae, not closed by operculum. (Bock & Cook, 2001)
