Stylopoma thornelyi is found from Vanuatu, Tahiti, the South China Sea and the GBR region.
Original description: Stylopoma viridis var. thornelyi Livingstone, 1926.
Locality: Ellison Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia.
